Scope

The Business Continuity Management Policy applies to business-critical central functions, trade and im-plementation services of hard-/ and software components, IT consultancy, cloud services and operational services of SVA System Vertrieb GmbH.

Definitions

Business Continuity means the organisations capability to continue delivering products and services within acceptable timeframes, at predefined capacity, during disruption. 

SVA or The Organisation means the SVA System Vertrieb GmbH, incorporated in Germany. 

Business Impact Analysis is the process of analysing the impact over time of a disruption on the organi-sation.

Responsibilities

The SVA leadership team sees Business Continuity Management (BCM) as an indispensable quality mark of our service processes. Compliance with our Business Continuity Policy is the foundation of our compa-ny philosophy. All member of staff must understand the necessity to perform their day-to-day duties in line of our philosophy.

The SVA leadership team supports and provides the necessary framework,processes and designated responsible individuals to implement this Business Continuity Management Policy through further policies, procedures and other documentation within our day-to-day work.

The SVA leadership team commit to provide the necessary resources to effectively implement and man-age a Business Continuity Management System, commit themselves to regularly review its appropriate-ness and effectiveness and ensures its continuous improvement.

Purpose

SVA, as a system integrator and IT service provider, is an important partner for their customers. This Busi-ness Continuity Management Policy defines as framework the basic principles to maintain the organisa-tional processes, including in critical situations.

Objectives

  • Ensure that SVA remains operational
  • Identify critical organisational processes and secure them through established Business Continui-ty controls
  • Identify risks for critical organisational processes and minimise the risks to acceptable levels
  • Identify non-conformities and implement relevant measures to eliminate or reduce the impact to an acceptable level
  • Align BCM requirements alongside the business objectives, with consideration to legal and con-tractual requirements
  • Ensure business continuity can be evidenced towards the customer, legislature, partners, insurers and suppliers

Principles

SVA protects the organisational processes for their customers. SVA demonstrates this in a manner, which makes it easy for potential customers to assess the appropriateness of the implemented controls, to utilise SVA as service provider.

Business Impact Analyses ensure that all relevant organisational processes within the scope are regularly reviewed, and measures as well as emergency plans are adjusted and improved upon.

Tests validate the implemented controls for critical organisational processes.

SVA conducts regular training for its employees in the subject of Business Continuity Management and aligns itself with common Business Continuity Management Standards.

We ensure through internal audits, that the requirements of the Business Continuity Management are fol-lowed by the employees, and identified improvement actions are implemented.
