Jochen Heyden to Build New SVA Business Unit “European Institutions & NATO”

Wiesbaden, September 24, 2026 – IT service provider SVA System Vertrieb Alexander GmbH is taking the next decisive step in its growth strategy by investing in a new international business unit: “European Institutions and NATO.” In making this investment, SVA is building on its strong position in Germany’s public sector and will systematically leverage mutual synergies going forward. To establish and lead the company in Brussels, SVA has recruited Jochen Heyden, an experienced executive in this market environment.

Digital sovereignty, cybersecurity, AI, EU regulation, and defense and security are currently the most important megatrends in the national and European IT market and are rapidly gaining significance for customers. For SVA’s business development, they represent the strongest growth drivers through 2035.

SVA already enjoys a very strong market position in Germany, particularly in the public sector and in the fields of internal and external security. With its technological expertise and long-standing relationships with vendors and customers, SVA considers itself ideally positioned to generate additional synergies with its established business in these areas.

Local presence in Brussels

To initiate market positioning and operational activities, SVA plans to establish a company, set up a representative office in Brussels, and build a dedicated local team over the coming months.

In Jochen Heyden, SVA has recruited an experienced executive and entrusted him with establishing and leading the new company. He has previously held a number of successful leadership positions at international vendors, including IBM and HPE. Most recently, as Senior Vice President and Managing Director, he was responsible for the two CANCOM subsidiaries CANCOM Public GmbH in Berlin and CANCOM Public BV/SRL in Brussels.
