MongoDB Inc.

MongoDB is one of the first companies to provide NoSQL (not only SQL) databases. Over the course of several decades, relational data management and modeling have proven their worth for business data, but were too limited for certain applications. The required database schema was too rigid, while data management on a single server provided insufficient flexibility. Querying via SQL was also too complex for many users. As a result, the open source community developed a schema-free, document-oriented database. This database distributes the data and workload between several servers, both on premises and in the cloud. Querying the database is also much easier. In 2013, the product and company Mongo DB Inc. became MongoDB. The product is aimed at companies with large amounts of data, and is one of the most widely used NoSQL databases in the world.
