After a one-off installation, new controllers and storage media can be operated for up to ten years. Enterprise applications such as virtualization, Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, SAP Hana, AI, private and hybrid cloud benefit from the simplified performance approach.

Upgrades of new controllers or storage media, such as the specially developed NVMe Direct Flash modules, can be carried out during operation without interruption. Any software innovations are covered by the evergreen model in the long term.

Another trendsetter is the FlashBlade developed by Pure Storage. This product portfolio offers unified fast file and object storage (UFFO). The FlashBlade focuses on all application areas that require a scale-out architecture. Data and object storage solutions can be made available here in a consolidated form (S3, NFS, CIFS). This enables billions of datasets to be processed with high performance. The Flash Blade product family is used in particular for data replication, disaster recovery of file systems and cloud mobility with object replication as well as security and monitoring functions.
