IDR Manager – Integrative Disaster Recovery at a glance

The IDR Manager software enables structured compilation, user-friendly handling and effective maintenance of the disaster recovery handbook.

With IDR Manager, all required IT services, applications and tasks can be recorded and accessed in emergencies in line with defined restoration times (MTPD) and mutual dependencies. Changes to technical equipment, staffing and organization can be entered in the disaster recovery (DR) handbook quickly and simply (change management).

Data import can be used to enter information from CMDBs or asset management tools in the IDR Manager – quickly providing an up-to-the-minute overview of the entire IT infrastructure that is needed in an emergency. The import function is used to continuously update data as part of change management.

Easy handling

The graphical user interface provides a clear overview of all data and contexts, allowing you to find the information you need quickly in an emergency.

The benefits:

  • Presentation in the form of icons, tables or tree structures
  • Current status marked in color
  • Track complex structures with just a few clicks

Useful separation

IDR Manager has multi-tenant capability, allowing complex structures to be separated into individual tenants, or various areas or corporate divisions to be kept apart, where this is necessary for various reasons.

Further user permissions (roles) can be defined within each tenant.

Crisis-proof functionalities

In emergency mode, IDR Manager generates a disaster recovery view for each IT service.

This interactive interface covers the entire recovery process and shows all tasks in the relevant order; the individual steps are marked once successfully completed. Once all the steps have been executed, the application is also marked as completed. This process continues at the next level, with the IT service marked as “available” at the end of the chain. As such, the user enjoys a complete overview of the status of the recovery process.

IDR Manager as SaaS

An important feature of emergency documents is that they are available in the event of an IT emergency - in other words, precisely when the data center comes to a complete standstill. Contingency plans have been created for this case, which are often stored on one of the affected IT services.

To ensure that the necessary documents and information are available in the event of an IT emergency, SVA offers the IDR Manager as Software as a Service. The service is hosted in the SVA private cloud in Germany and operated by SVA.

This allows you to focus on restoring your IT services without having to worry about the availability and possible data loss of your IT emergency documents.

Further functionalities

  • Configurable and classic reports with logical views such as Business View and Service View
  • Asset history report for checking the documents entered
